METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IMPLEMENTING DUAL NODE INTERCONNECT PROTECTION IN PACKET TRANSMISSION NETWORK

A method and an apparatus for implementing dual node interconnection protection in a packet transmission network are disclosed in the present invention. Said method includes: a reverse closed ring protection tunnel is configured respectively in each one of the two rings in dual node interconnection and a dual node interconnection tunnel is configured between interconnected nodes, wherein the reverse closed ring protection tunnel is a shared protection tunnel for the dual node interconnection tunnel and service tunnel; when a cross-ring service is transmitted between the two rings and the service link between a transmitting end node and a receiving end node fails, data enters a service tunnel or a reverse closed ring protection tunnel of the other ring through the dual node interconnection tunnel and the reverse closed ring protection tunnel to be transmitted. With the application of the method and apparatus provided in the present invention, bandwidth resources of dual node interconnection protection can be saved.
