PURPOSE: A multiple interpolation filtering method and a coding device applying the same are provided to interpolate a current image by considering the characteristic of vertical or horizontal direction having circular image and to improve coding efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A multiple interpolation images filters a reference image to a plurality of interpolation filtering and to be obtained(S710). As one among the multiple interpolation filtering uses the interpolation images, if is determined as a finial interpolation filtering method(S720). When the current image is predicted based on the interpolation images, the interpolation filtering applied to interpolation image, which has high coding rate, is determined as the final interpolation filtering method. The interpolation filtering includes a separation adaptive interpolation filtering, a direction adaptive interpolation filtering, and an interpolation filtering using a filter coefficient.
