PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical roller mill having the effect that a speed reducer for a rotary table can be carried away from the mill even if a base for supporting an arm is made of concrete and the speed reducer is large and that anchor bolts for supporting the arm can be suitably arranged. SOLUTION: The vertical roller mill 1 is configured to press a roller 10 onto the rotary table 2 with arms 11 which are held respectively on a plurality of bases made of concrete. Two adjacent bases 31 of the plurality of bases 31 have a space of a dimension Y in-between through which the speed reducer 4 for the rotary table 2 can be carried away from the mill and are combined on top with a beam 33 made of concrete. Also, the two bases 31 are structured in such a manner that anchor bolts 32B, 34 for supporting each arm 11 are installed on each base 31 and on the concrete beam 33 between the bases 31.
