PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for wastewater capable of separating food residue and also surely separating oil with a simple configuration to obtain cleaned wastewater, and also performing a treatment by a simple operation of only injecting mixed water containing the food residue and the to eliminate needs of labor and time for the treatment. SOLUTION: In the filter, a filtering part 2 for the food residue is set at an upper part of a bottomed cylindrical water-tight support member 1; an oil/water separation part 3 is set thereunder having an oil/water separation filter 31 with pore diameters of 10-700μm allowing flow-down of water and consisting of hydrophilic synthetic resin sponge of continuous pores with a water retention of 100-1,400%; and a drain passage 4 is provided under the oil/water separation part 3 in the support member 1, with an inlet 41 communicatedly connected to the separation part 3 and with an uppermost position of an outlet 42 disposed to be located between the separation part 3 and filtering part 2 for the food residue.
