<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon fiber bundle having excellent mechanical characteristics, and for obtaining a high-quality and high-performance fiber-reinforced resin especially for aircraft applications or industrial applications. <P>SOLUTION: The carbon fiber bundle includes single fibers each having several surface uneven structures extended to 2μm or more in the longitudinal direction of the fiber on the surface of the single fiber, and regulated so that the level difference (Rp-v) between the highest part and the lowest part of the surface of the single fiber may be 15-50 nm, the average unevenness Ra may be 2-6 nm, and the ratio (major axis/minor axis) of the fiber cross section of the single fiber may be 1.015-1.10, and has a strand strength of not less than 5,700 MPa, a strand modulus of 245-280 GPa measured based on the ASTM method, and a knot strength of not less than 700 N/mm<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
