PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger from which the generated steam condensate can be discharged surely to the outside thereof through a steam trap. SOLUTION: A steam supply pipe 3 is connected to a jacket part 2 while interposing a control valve 7 between them. A liquid level detecting member 5 is also connected to the jacket part 2 while interposing a check valve 12 between them. A liquid level detector 11 is fit to the right side face of the liquid level detecting member 5. A driving liquid pipe 15 is connected to the inlet side of a valve member 13 and a liquid ejector 6 is connected to the outlet side of the valve member 13. A suction chamber 10 of the liquid ejector 6 is connected to the outlet side of the steam trap 4. The outlet side of the steam trap 4 is kept in a predetermined low pressure state by the sucking force to be generated in the liquid ejector 6 so that the steam condensate can be discharged surely to the outside thereof.
