<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new catalyst effective for electrochemical oxidation reaction of carbon monoxide, suitable for use in a carbon monoxide sensor, a fuel cell anode, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for electrochemically oxidizing carbon monoxide contains rhodium tetrakis(3,5-dimethoxy)phenylporphyrin as an effective component. The catalyst can be used by supporting rhodium tetrakis(3,5-dimethoxy)phenylporphyrin and particles of platinum or platinum-alloy on a conductive carrier such as carbon black. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
