<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new catalyst effective for electrochemical oxidation reaction of carbon monoxide, suitable for use in a carbon monoxide sensor, a fuel cell anode, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for electrochemically oxidizing carbon monoxide contains rhodium tetrakis(3,5-dimethoxy)phenylporphyrin as an effective component.
