<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus of high image quality such that a decrease in light receiving performance due to pixel reduction is suppressed without increasing the dark current of a pixel. <P>SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging apparatus includes a plurality of pixels each of which includes a light reception part (3) in a semiconductor substrate, an interlayer insulating film (6) provided on the light reception part, and in-layer lenses (10a, 10b) which are provided in the interlayer insulating film above the light reception part and not brought into direct contact with the light reception part. Each of the in-layer lenses has a higher refractive index than the interlayer insulating film and operates to converge light incident from the upper part of the light reception part, and also has a uniform thickness in the pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
