<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adding to a printer driver, a function unavailable even if expanding a function of a printer. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: the printer driver 160; a first software identifier storage part 132 storing a first software identifier indicating a platform allowing installation of a second plug-in for allowing use of a function of a first plug-in setting the printer driver as an installation destination on the printer side; a software identifier obtaining part 152 obtaining a second software identifier indicating a platform of the printer of a control target of the printer driver; an installation propriety decision part 154 comparing the first software identifier and the second software identifier, and deciding whether or not the platform of the printer allowing the installation of the second plug-in; and an installation part 156 installing the first plug-in to the printer driver when it is decided that the platform allows the installation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
