PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent soap finish treatment liquid with a simple coating process, from which sufficient water-repellent effect and contamination preventive effect are expected, being safe even when contacted with a baby. SOLUTION: In a method for producing the water-repellent soap finish treatment liquid, an aqueous solution of soap including a sodium salt of a higher fatty acid as a principal component and wax are stirred around the melting point of the wax. In the water-repellent soap finish treatment liquid, the wax is uniformly contained in the aqueous solution of soap including the sodium salt of the higher fatty acid as the principal component.
