The device has a capillary product applying unit (5) e.g. comb, moved with respect to a capillary product storage container (1) e.g. vial, between storage and usage positions. Teeth (41) of the unit are drawn inside and extracted outside the container in the storage and usage positions, respectively. A hollow mobile element (7) forms a large grip for the unit. The mobile element prevents and authorizes displacement of the applying unit outside the container in locking and gripping positions, respectively. The element is moved from the teeth by passing towards the gripping position.
