<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure pipe closing jig which surely closes a pipe, enables a pressure resistant leakage test in a high pressure condition, and is easily mounted to a pipe and used repeatedly. <P>SOLUTION: A first flange is provided on the front end side of a rod, while a second flange is provided on the near side of the rod. Disk-like packings having nearly the same diameter as the pipe diameter are held between the first and second flanges with the rod passing therethrough. Each of the packings is formed of an elastomer, tapered on the external surface so that the front side has a smaller diameter, and provided with a circular groove on the inside of the packing outer periphery on the back side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
