PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic device of a circuit breaker, the electromagnetic device miniaturizing the circuit breaker by lessening an arrangement space of the electromagnetic device, and improving assembling workability. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic device 6 of the circuit breaker 1 includes: a fixed electromagnetic piece 7 formed at an approximate C-shape by bending a side plate section 7b to two sides opposite to a main plate section 7a so as to surround a conductor 5 forming a portion of a main circuit between a power supply terminal 3 and a load side terminal 4; a movable electromagnetic piece 8 detachably arranged at end edges of both side plate sections 7b of the fixed electromagnetic piece 7; and an elastic member 9 using a leaf spring for urging the movable electromagnetic piece 8 so as to separate from the fixed electromagnetic piece 7. The elastic member 9 is fixed at a lower end of the movable electromagnetic piece 8, a free end 9b of the elastic member is formed by extending upward a fixed section 9a from both sections in the width direction of the movable electromagnetic piece 8, and the elastic member is retained by coming into contact with projections 7c formed on both side plate sections 7b of the fixed electromagnetic piece 7.
