<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which properly guides a paper discharged from a fixing device to a conveying device, while suppressing degradation in image quality or preventing failures such as jamming and paper folding. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the fixing device 5 having a nip N1 for fixing toner on the paper by heat and pressure; a glossing device 6 arranged downstream from the fixing device 5 in a paper conveying direction and conveying the paper to the further downstream side; and a conveyance guide 45 which has a plurality of guide members 45a and 45b arranged across a path line PL between the fixing device 5 and the glossing device 6 and in which a space held by the plurality of guide members 45a and 45b, serving as a gap through which the conveyed paper passes is gradually narrowed from the fixing device 5 to the glossing device 6.
