<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening device capable of improving a daylighting property, heat insulating property and productivity in a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The opening device includes a frame body provided along a building opening, and a "Shoji" sliding door arranged inside in the width direction of the frame body and having a glass panel and a frame. The frame includes a covering piece of U-shaped cross section having a bottom piece and two pieces erected from both ends of the bottom piece, and the bottom piece of the covering piece is provided with a projecting part projected toward the U-shaped opening side.
