<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method having advantages including cost effectiveness, ease of use, and effective and efficient manners of delivering a dermatological agent to a subject or enhancing the agent. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for treating a subject for a disease condition by administering the dermatological agent to the subject, since that an effective amount of a topical formulation of the dermatological agent is topically applied to a host and the topically applied formulation of the dermatological agent is then occluded with a hydrogel patch, where a feature of the hydrogel patch is that it lacks a pharmaceutically active agent.
