PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a private network (P-NW) control method which does not require complicated management of a prohibited TA (tracking area) list and a notification of the prohibited TA list. SOLUTION: User equipment includes: a unit specifying a TA of a serving cell based on broadcast information; a determination unit determining whether the user equipment is entitled to communicate in a P-NW when the predetermined TA is for the P-NW; and a unit transmitting a signal requesting to update the TA to a TA for P-NW to a base station of the serving cell when the user equipment is entitled to communicate in the P-NW. The determination unit determines whether the predetermined TA is for the P-NW by checking a common identification information which is common to P-NWs in information included in the broadcast information. The determination unit determines whether the user equipment is entitled to communicate in the P-NW by determining whether the P-NW to which the serving cell belongs is the same as or different from a P-NW in which the user equipment is entitled to communicate.
