PURPOSE: A curable resin composition and a liquid crystal display device using thereof are provided to prevent the generation of stains and the liquid crystal contamination by a photo-initiator. CONSTITUTION: A curable resin composition contains a partial epoxy chalcone compound with compounds marked with chemical formula 1, and a thermosetting material. In the chemical formula 1, N is an integer of 1~3. R1~R9 are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group, a halogen atom, or a nitro group. In the chemical formula 2, N is the integer of 1~3. X is CH_2, O, C(CH_3)_2, CH(CH_3), CH(CF_3), CO, or SO_2. |
