PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacker performing sheet leading edge alignment by pressing sheets with an image formed thereon, which are shiftedly discharged to a stack tray, to a predetermined position by a stopper, the stacker preventing the sheets from being obliquely tilted and mounted during the pressing operation by the stopper, and eliminating the risk that the stopper during operation could become unstable. SOLUTION: The stacker includes: a sheet thrusting part 51 which includes the stopper 58 disposed vertically toward the stack tray, and disposes the stopper 58 advanceably and retractably in a sheet discharge direction and the reverse direction thereof; and a stopper position adjustment part 50 which advanceably and retractably supports the sheet thrusting part 51 in a width direction of the sheet discharged onto the stack tray, and positions the stopper 58 on the center line in the width direction of the sheet discharged onto the stack tray so that the stopper 58 can be engaged on a midportion of the distal end of the sheet. The distal ends of the sheets are aligned by shifting the stopper 58 to the midportion of the distal end of the sheet shifted and discharged onto the stack tray by a shift mechanism, and by pressing the sheet in the reverse direction of the sheet discharge direction.
