PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting display device that further prolongs light emission life duration even when AC voltage is applied between electrodes, and that externally extracts emitted light. SOLUTION: The light-emitting display device 1 includes: a pair of transparent supports 2a and 2b; and a light-emitting portion 5 supported between the pair of supports 2a and 2b and having an ion liquid and a light-emitting substance dissolved in the ion liquid. A pair of electrodes 3 and 4 connected to the light-emitting portion 5 are disposed on the internal surface of the support 2a or 2b. Each of the electrodes 3 and 4 contains carbon.
