PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate-like paper sheet double-feed preventive member (separation pad) which is adaptable to various paper sheets due to excellent separation function without considerably complicating its structure compared with a conventional separation pad, hardly abraded, and hardly generates any chattering vibration, squeaking or the like. SOLUTION: The plate-like paper sheet double-feed preventive member 3 includes an outer layer 8 in contact with paper sheets 5, and an inner layer 9 stacked on the outer layer 8. The type A durometer hardness of the inner layer 9 is≥A5/S and≤A60/S, or its C-type hardness is≥C5 and≤C50, and the rubber hardness of the outer layer 8 is higher than that of the inner layer 9.
