<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a coil component, the apparatus reducing the wear of a chuck member generated when positioning a core to the chuck member. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing a coil component 1 includes: the chuck members 7 and 8 between which one flange part 6 of a drum core 3 is held; a receiving base 9 on which both flange parts 6 of the drum core 3 are placed; and a core supply member 10 for supplying the drum core 3 between the chuck members 7 and 8. On the chuck member 7, a receiving surface 13 to be engaged with one end face of the drum core 3 and a receiving surface 14 to be engaged with one side face of the flange part 6 of the drum core 3 are formed. At the corner part of the receiving surfaces 13 and 14 in the chuck member 7, a suction port 16 for making one end face of the drum core 3 adhere to the receiving surface 13 and making one end face of the flange part 6 adhere to the receiving surface 14 is formed.
