<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably maintain functions for a long time by suppressing oxidative functional alteration and deterioration by oxygen radicals in a solvent composition, such as lubricating oil and ethanol-containing biofuel. <P>SOLUTION: The solvent composition includes a substance subject to oxidative alteration by oxygen radicals and a compound having superoxide dismutase-mimetic activity including oxygen radical removing ability.
