<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc grinder improving a structure of a connection part of a gear cover and a housing to allow a worker to put his/her hand into a clearance between the housing and a wheel guard. <P>SOLUTION: This disc grinder is equipped with: a motor; the housing storing the motor; a first bevel gear being rotated by the motor; a second bevel gear meshing with the first bevel gear to rotate an output shaft; a gear case connected with a front part of the housing and storing the first and second bevel gears; and the wheel guard attached to the output shaft to cover a partial region of a grinding wheel. The gear case has: a motor side opening part; and a grinding wheel side opening part. The diameter of the motor side opening part is set to be smaller than diameter of the grinding wheel side opening part, the diameter (R<SB>H</SB>) of the housing in a part connected with the motor side opening part is 35 mm≤R<SB>H</SB>≤45 mm, and the distance (W) between the housing and the wheel guard is set to be 16 mm≤W≤30 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
