PURPOSE: A cutting apparatus for stems of sweet potatoes or potatoes is provided to automatically cut stems using a rotating chain saw attached to the apparatus and to effectively and rapidly harvest potatoes. CONSTITUTION: A cutting apparatus for stems of sweet potatoes or potatoes comprises the following: upper and lower support shafts(124,127) combined to both sides of a sorting device(101) to rotate; upper and lower electric sprockets(126) combined with the support shafts; a chain saw(133) connected to the electric sprockets to cut the stems by rotating; and a support plate(131), fixed to both sides of the sorting device, connected to a guide groove(132) to guide the rotation of the chain saw. |
