ARC POSITION MEASURING APPARATUS FOR ELECTRIC POWER APPARATUS AND ARC POSITION MEASURING METHOD

PURPOSE: An arc position measuring unit for an electric power apparatus and a method for the same are provided to prevent the size of the measuring unit from being increased by replacing a point sensor or a loop sensor functioning as optical sensors. CONSTITUTION: Optical sensors(10, 20) transmit an optical signal generated by arc through an optical fiber. A data acquiring unit(30) is in connection with the connector of the optical sensors and converts the optical signal into an electric signal. The data acquiring unit outputs a detection signal through a photoelectric transformation element. A signal processing unit(40) receives detection data from the data acquiring unit.
