The mounting for passing pipes (15) through the walls (4) of vacuum tanks comprises an outer (2) and an inner (9) flange connector, through which the pipe passes. These enclose an annular recess, in which a sealing ring (14) is mounted. They are fastened together by bolts (11) passing through bores in the outer connector into blind bores in the inner one.
