<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a see-through liquid crystal module that prevents dust from entering the back of a liquid crystal display panel having a see-through part not to cause deterioration in transparency of the transparent part so that a display body disposed behind can securely be seen, and a compact seen-through type liquid crystal display device which has a wide visual angle and is bright and by which patterns and numbers of a display body etc., arranged behind can be easily recognized. <P>SOLUTION: The see-through liquid crystal is provided with a cover 17 which entirely covers the back of the liquid crystal module 11A having the seen-through type liquid crystal display panel having a seen-through part enabling the rear of the liquid crystal display panel to be seen from the front and has a window part 171 composed of a transparent member at a part corresponding to the seen-through part 111, and a light source 176 which is provided in the back of the cover and illuminates the rear of the cover 17 while being close contact with the window part 171. A reflection wall 178 is molded out of synthetic resin on one side of the light source 176 and on the opposite side from the window part integrally with the cover 17. The light source 176 is preferably a rod type light source or a light emitting diode.
