PURPOSE: A transmission diversity support method and a device thereof are provided to reduce the number of a HARQ retransmission process by changing a precoding matrix which is applied to a stream using only a HARQ feedback. CONSTITUTION: A demultiplexing part(110) demultiplexes data to a data stream as much as the number of a transmission antenna. A channel coding and modulating part(120a-120n) executes a channel coding and demodulating process. A precoding part(140) selects a precoding matrix in a precoding matrix set. The precoding part precodes forged data stream. The precoding part converts the selected precoding matrix to the other precoding matrix of the precoding matrix set. A precoding matrix converting determining part(150) determines whether the selected precoding matrix is converted into a different precoding matrix. A transmission processing part(160) transmits the precoded data stream to a terminal.
