The device (1) has a nut (7) including two U-shaped retaining tabs (12) retained in an orifice (10). Each retaining tab has an outer free end (13) supported on a front edge (15) of the orifice in an assembling direction of the nut. The retaining tab has another end (16) that carries a rectangular central plate provided with a threaded barrel (18) for receiving an assembling screw (5), where the screw assembles two pieces i.e. panels (2, 3). Locking tabs (22) lock the nut in the orifice by being supported against rear edges of the orifices.
