PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semipermeable membrane having enhanced productivity and good characteristics, to provide a display device, and to provide a method of manufacturing a pattern substrate. SOLUTION: The semipermeable membrane has, as optical characteristics, light transmission characteristics and light reflection characteristics. The semipermeable membrane is a nitrogen containing film containing≥40 mol% to <50 mol% nitrogen in either aluminum or an alloy consisting essentially of aluminum.
