PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine capable of easily measuring the state of washing liquid without largely changing the structure of a circulation route. SOLUTION: The washing machine includes an intake 5 which is connected with the bottom of an outer tub 2 and fed with washing liquid, a circulation route 9 which has an end connected to the intake 5, a discharge port 8 which communicates with the other end of the circulation route 9 and discharges the washing liquid into a washing tub 3, a washing liquid state detecting means 10 which detects the state of the washing liquid inside the washing tub 3, a circulation pump 15 which fetches the washing liquid to the circulation route 9 and discharges the washing liquid from the discharge port 8 into the washing tub 3, and a filter 14 which removes floating particles between the intake 8 and the circulation pump 15.
