The invention relates to a forced-air distillation body (162) comprising thin hollow polymer plates with a hydrophilic covering, said plates being arranged side-by-side, at a uniform distance from each other. Vertical series of horizontal relief features ensure a uniform flow of the liquid in said coverings. Inner and outer vertical flat channels form individual condensation and evaporation chambers. Inner calibrated horizontal conduits are arranged end-to-end to said inner channels. A boiler (168) comprising heat exchangers (242-244) through which a heat-transfer liquid passes produces a total saturated air stream at an extreme high temperature (85°C) and hot water to be distilled, poured into a bowl (240) supplying spreading troughs (80). A ventilator (206) injects ambient air into the outer channels through a plate comprising calibrated slits. Saturated air streams rise into the evaporation chambers at uniform rates and temperatures. The total saturated air stream produced by the boiler (168) is largely injected into the inlets of the hollow plates and a small part is injected into a chamber for pre-heating the water to be distilled. Uniform saturated air streams descend into the condensation chambers. The distilled water condenses on the inner faces of the plates and the brine flows along the outer faces thereof. Troughs formed in the slitted plate (103) collect said liquids without any risk of mixing. The coefficient of performance (CoP) of the distillator is high, due to the balanced distribution of the liquid and the air streams in the appliance. The invention can be applied to the distillation of any liquid, to the production of concentrates, to household water distillators (20 l/h) or collective water distillators (25 m3/jour).
