PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set a communication parameter even by a communication device operable in both operation modes such as a base station mode in which the communication device functions as a base station and a slave station mode in which the communication device functions as a slave station. SOLUTION: When an instruction operation given by a user to start communication parameter setting is detected, an operation mode of this communication device is determined. According to the determined operation mode, whether to provide a communication parameter through another communication device operating in the base station mode, or provide a communication parameter directly by the communication device is changed over.
