<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DNA marker characteristic of a plant of the genus Erianthus, and a method for selecting a plant of the genus Erianthus or a mating variety thereof using the DNA marker. <P>SOLUTION: The DNA marker includes at least one kind of nucleotide sequence selected from the group consisting of specific sequences or a nucleotide sequence in which one or several nucleotides are substituted, added, deleted or inserted in the nucleotide sequence.
