The method involves determining extended sub-range (40) of a history diagram associated to an opposite sub-range (30) selected by the user in such a manner that the sub-range selected by the user is enclosed and associated extended sub-range of the history diagram lies in the center at the same time. An independent claim is also included for a system for execution of the method.
