PURPOSE: A cutting insert and a cutter body with the same are provided to maximize cutting efficiency, since specific cutting pressure is reduced through the reduction of effective factors. CONSTITUTION: A cutting insert(10) comprises an upper surface(14), a lower surface, and a side surface. The lower surface faces the upper surface and has the same form of the upper surface. The side connects the upper surface and the lower surface. A main cutting edge is formed on the upper surface and the lower surface by passing through the side surface. Multiple grooves(13,13a,13b,13c) are formed on the side surface. The groove passes through the center(O) of the cutting insert.
