FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: device has a plasma source (1) with a principal axis (2) along which a plasma jet (3) is directed outwards, and at least one particle injector (5). The injector (5) has an outlet opening (6) and is designed for injecting carrier gas and particles into the plasma jet (3). The device also has a support, tilting apparatus, a first optical detector, visualisation tools for determining the mean trajectory of particles and apparatus for determining average speed of said particles. The support can move in two directions for axial and radial positioning of the injector (5) relative the axis (2). The tilting apparatus is designed for controlling angular position of the said injector (5) relative the axis (7). Apparatus for determining average speed have synchronised light source (10) and second optical detector (11). The disclosed method involves generation of a heat current loaded with particles in the disclosed device, adjustment of the position and inclination of the injector (5) for maximising average speed of particles at a distance D from the end of the source (1) and placing the object at that distance. ^ EFFECT: invention enables controlled simulation of heat currents loaded with particles, characteristic of solid rocket motors or descent into a circumplanetary atmosphere. ^ 16 cl, 4 dwg |
