USE OF OLIVE LEAF EXTRACTS IN A PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR INDUCING ANGIOGENESIS AND VASCULOGENESIS

The invention relates to the use of olive leaf extracts for producing a pharmaceutical composition capable of inducing angiogenesis and vascularisation. In general, the composition can be used for therapeutic applications, in order to promote the differentiation of stem cells into endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) and/or mature endothelial cells, as well as to induce the formation of vessels from said endothelial cells. The vascularisation-inducing angiogenic composition of the invention is intended for, inter alia, cardiovascular disease, ischaemic processes in general, ulcers, and wound healing in both human and veterinary medicine.
