<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of determining authenticity of a printed matter where: combined information is easily detected even if the printed matter is manufactured by a method of combining the information acquired by amplitude modulation; confidential information does not appear by means of an infrared image only; and a problem that the confidential information is easily leaked is eliminated. <P>SOLUTION: A method of determining authenticity of the printed matter includes steps of: designating a multilevel image formed by imaging a color image C' (i, j) on a base material in an infrared region to be Km (i, j); decomposing the color image Cm (i, j) formed by imaging the color image C' (i, j) in a visible light region into three multilevel images of cyanogen, magenta and yellow ones or the three multilevel images of red, green and blue ones; and extracting binary array patterns which are kept confidential from an authenticity determination image formed on the basis of Mm (i, j) and Km (i, j) by allowing arbitrary one of cyanogen, magenta and yellow images or arbitrary one of red, green and blue ones to be as a multilevel image Mm (i, j). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
