PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a transfer material from being wrapped around a roller or the like in a fixing section due to separating charge downstream of the plurality of fixing sections. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the plurality of fixing sections for fixing an image transferred to a transfer material P to this transfer material P; and a transfer material-charging section 4 disposed in a paper feed path 3 between the first fixing section (first fixing unit 1) located on the upstream side of the paper feed path 3 and the second fixing section (second fixing unit 2) located on the downstream side thereof, the transfer material-charging section 4 being configured to charge the transfer material P, thereby urging the separation of the transfer material subjected to fixing in the second fixing section. This makes it easy for the transfer material to be separated without being wrapped around the second fixing section in the second fixing section, thus achieving the stable operations of the image forming apparatus and image forming system and improvement in the reliability thereof.
