PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoacoustic engine regenerating even a low temperature heat source at a level preventing self-oscillation and regenerating even a heat source with different temperature. SOLUTION: In the thermoacoustic engine in which a prime mover 2 for converting thermal energy to acoustic energy within a loop pipe 1 is provided in the loop pipe 1, a prime mover 6 for amplification for amplifying acoustic intensity of progressive waves self-oscillated by the prime mover 2 is arranged in the loop pipe 1.
