摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which achieves high-speed automatic focus detection without any influence of flicker. SOLUTION: The imaging device includes: an imaging element which has a plurality of imaging pixels which perform photoelectric conversion on an image formed from a light flux from an imaging optical system, and a plurality of focus detection pixels which perform photoelectric conversion on an image formed from a divided light beam from the imaging optical system, and reads a signal obtained by photoelectric conversion in a first direction; a focus detection means which detects a focus state of the imaging optical system from each of at least a phase difference between a pair of images in the first direction and a phase difference between a pair of images in a second direction different from the first direction, based on the outputs of the focus detection pixels; a flicker reduction means which reduces flicker; and a control means which is configured to control a focal point in accordance with the focus state obtained from a phase difference of the pair of images in the first direction before an operation of the flicker reduction means.
