PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light transmissive electromagnetic wave shielding material having a mesh-like conductive layer of superior size precision. SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing the light transmissive electromagnetic wave shielding material includes the processes of: forming an anchor coat layer 12 of 2 to 10 nm in surface roughness Ra by coating a transparent base material 11 with a composition containing a binder resin and particles; forming a mesh-like pretreatment layer 13 by printing an electroless plating pretreatment agent containing composite metal oxide and/or composite metal oxide hydrate, and a composite resin on the anchor coat layer 12 in a mesh-like shape; and forming a mesh-like metal conductive layer 14 on the pretreatment layer 13 through an electroless plating treatment.
