A method and system is provided for substantially protecting a piece of clothing from staining by dyes that may transfer and stain from another piece of clothing. The method and system include a multilayered sheet of protective guard that has substantially dye proof outer layer that adheres to a piece of clothing such as an inside cuff. This substantially protects the transfer of dyes, such as indigo dyes, between the clothing and a second piece of clothing.
