PURPOSE: A chair type exercise apparatus is provided to buffer and reduce weight properties of a spring by a buffer unit, thereby reducing a load on a workout body part during a workout. CONSTITUTION: A chair type exercise apparatus includes a sheet unit for supporting a buttock and a support unit supporting an upper body. Each connection unit includes a rotation shaft(61), an elastic member(62), a rotation fixing unit(63), and a buffer unit(64). The elastic member provides an elastic force for returning a location of a connection member to an original location of the connection member. The rotation fixing unit selectively fixes rotation of the rotation shaft. A buffer unit buffers an elastic force of the elastic member.
