PURPOSE: A device and a method for generating 3D content in a portable terminal are provided to convert a 3D object based on intensity of touch input of a user by a making tool, thereby increasing a satisfaction feeling of a user. CONSTITUTION: A touch management unit(106) senses touch input of a user by an indication of a control unit(100). An object generation unit(102) of a portable terminal checks intensity of the touch input by an indication of the control unit. The object generation unit checks an object conversion value corresponding to the input intensity. The object generation unit applies the object conversion value to an area where the touch input is sensed. The object generation unit generates a converted object by an intention of the user.
