PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which has excellent fixability at a low temperature and excellent heat resistant preservability and hardly brings about a blocking phenomenon even when used under a high-temperature environment. SOLUTION: The toner includes toner particles constituted of core particles containing at least a binder resin, a colorant, and a wax and a coating layer formed by fixing fine resin particles on surfaces of the core particles, wherein the core particles furthermore contain a resin having a unit constituted of a nitrogen-containing vinyl monomer and a unit constituted of a vinyl monomer containing at least a carboxylic acid group and/or a sulfonic acid group or their alkyl ester groups.
