METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING DETERIORATION OF OIL-CONTAINING ELECTRIC DEVICE DUE TO CUMULATED DETERIORATED MATTER IN INSULATING OIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for diagnosing a deterioration of an oil-containing electric device for simply and rapidly evaluating the presence of the failure of the oil-containing electric device due to the cumulated deteriorated matter in the insulating oil of the oil-containing electric device. SOLUTION: The method for diagnosing the deterioration of the oil-containing electric device due to the cumulated deteriorated matter in the insulating oil includes combining the step of collecting the insulating oil from the oil-containing electric device to use the same as sample oil and measuring the saponification value (S) of the sample oil to compare the same with a threshold value set on the basis of the saponification values measured with respect to a large number of secular insulating oils and the step of measuring the volume resistivity and dielectric loss tangent of the sample oil and comparing the measured values with a correlation straight line of the volume resistivities and dielectric loss tangents preliminarily calculated using a large number of the secular insulating oils.
