<p>The method involves measuring a counter rate of impulses, which are produced at a photomultiplier based on a radiation striking on a scintillator. The counter rate is evaluated for measuring process variables, and anode current of the photomultiplier is measured with measurement of the counter rate of the impulses. The measured anode current is evaluated to monitor the measurement of the process variables. A testing is made whether the measured anode current exceeds a predetermined threshold. Faulty measurement of the process variables is determined when the current exceeds the threshold. An independent claim is also included for a device for monitored measurement of process variables, comprising a scintillator.</p> |
